We’re pleased to announce the start of the Chilean peony season. A time of year that brings freshness, color, and unmistakable charm to the flower market. While European and local growers are finishing their production cycles, peonies in Chile are just coming into full bloom. This is when Chilean farms take over from the Dutch season, supplying the market with fresh peonies from late October through December .

Cool nights, bright Antarctic sunlight, and fertile soil create perfect growing conditions for Chilean peonies. Grown in open fields, without greenhouses or artificial stimulants, these flowers develop strong stems, vibrant colors, and firm, long-lasting petals. Each season unfolds with its own rhythm, as different varieties open one after another, creating a continuous palette of shades. This year, Chilean farms are once again ready to delight us with both classic and new varieties, from the airy white Duchesse de Nemours and delicate pink Sarah Bernhardt to the coral-toned Coral Sunset and rich raspberry Kansas.

Throughout the season, from late October to December, Chilean growers will be offering various peony varieties in rotation. As new availability updates come in from the farms, Daoflowers managers will send clients detailed emails with current varieties available and exact shipping dates. This helps plan purchases in advance based on cutting and delivery schedules. Since peonies are in high demand and volumes for each variety are limited, we strongly recommend confirming your preferred selections as soon as you receive our updates..

Packaging depends on the variety and bud size: standard QB (Quattro Box) boxes hold around 100–120 stems, with an average weight of 7–8 kg.
