On September 15, 2024, Tabacundo hosted its second annual Rose Parade. This floral event, supported by the CFT (Corporación de Floricultores Tabacundo - Corporation of Flower Producers in Tabacundo), was a key highlight of the celebrations for the Pedro Moncayo cantonization anniversary and the Harvest Festival. The Pedro Moncayo canton, in particular Tabacundo and its surroundings, is famous for its ideal climatic conditions for growing premium roses.

This region, often called the "World Rose Capital", is known for its high quality floral products. The high altitude location and unique climate contribute to the production of roses with rich colors and a long vase life.

The farms located in Tabacundo region displayed their finest roses on magnificently decorated allegorical platforms that became true works of art. The colorful procession was accompanied by original dances, fiery music and unique folklore, immersing people in the unique cultural traditions of the region.
